Portrait of Ahonakpon Guy Gbaguidi

I am Guy Gbaguidi, a software engineer and AI researcher from Benin. I am pursuing an M.S. in Engineering Artificial Intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University Africa in Kigali.

My research interests include robot perception, robot reasoning, human–robot interaction, and the reliability of AI systems used in Africa. I earned a B.Sc. in Software Engineering from the University of Abomey-Calavi as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. My undergraduate research examined forecasting and energy-supply optimization for telecommunications sites. This work resulted in a first-author publication.

I develop systems that account for limits in available data and computing resources. I also mentor university robotics teams and help organize events for AI and data science professionals in Benin.

Research collaboration: I am seeking faculty advising and research projects in robotics. I am also available for software engineering projects. Please contact me by email if you would like to discuss related work.
